From Emilia: The Garden of Eden is a piece based on the societal mistreatment of women, and how they are cast aside and discarded after being used and/or blamed for things out of their control. It also has some dark undertones of religious trauma that I'm sure many readers would be able to relate to.
About the artist: Emilia Koziol is a 19 year old abstract artist who works both traditionally and digitally. Depending on her mood, Emilia has been lucky enough to dance with all sorts of mediums and styles in order to bring her audience an amalgamation of ideas and emotions that she calls “art.” She has been publicly creating art since 2019, with hopes of inspiring art lovers and haters alike. Even if her art only speaks to one or two people, she could truly be happy. For her, art isn’t about being high class and superfluous. It’s about being accessible, and something the world has never seen before.
Now working as a freelance artist and dabbling in a bit of everything, Emilia’s main goal is to make people question what is actually going on in her brain. Most of her inspiration comes from her unintelligible, muddled, nonsensical thought process, and bold— almost obnoxious— colors. Her art is a thinly veiled attempt to give her audience a glimpse into her wild mind.
If she had one word to describe herself and her work, it would simply be: eclectic.
