Elevating Youth Voices Nonprofit Fair

On June 1, 2019, Third Estate Art teamed up with the Bright Promises Foundation to provide face painting and a kids’ art activity at the Elevating Youth Voices Nonprofit Fair. So here’s the thing. I don’t know about you, but we spend a lot of time at TEA worried about issues like gun violence and climate change, and generally feeling like the future has the potential to be a dark and scary place. After seeing so many youth-led organizations listening to what they have to say, we’re way less worried about what’s coming, and more interested in giving kids more power TODAY. We don’t have to wait for the next generation of artists and activists to grow up—they’re already out there working. Instead, it’s our responsibility as adults to keep lifting them up and creating spaces for them to thrive.
